Growing up, my parents house was known to be haunted. One day when I was 12 years old, I was home alone waiting for my siblings to get home from school. I was standing in the kitchen staring out the window. No bus was coming yet so I turned around to return to the living room. As I was turning, I saw my reflection (cupboards were made of glass) and there was an old lady standing behind me staring at me. She looked very old (wore a scarf, small round glasses) and she was just staring at me. I instantly froze, stared at her, then ran to the couch. I did not move for the next 45 minutes.

After lots of self-reflection, and assuming my mind was playing tricks on me I figured I didn’t actually see an old lady looking at me. Fast forward a few months later, my cousin was telling me and my family about an elderly lady that woke her in the middle of the night, sure enough the description she gave was spot on to what I saw.
