I may be too late for this, and I'm not a girl but I am a guy that did some crazy stuff on a first date that could be considered 'creepy'.

I finish College here in England and go to Uni, in my first week there you basically just get drunk and do some introduction to your course.

So In freshers I see this girl with curly red hair and a gorgeous face and a lovely figure, I was instantly captivated. So, alcohol happens and I proceed to make it my objective to become this girls boyfriend. So, I kiss her on a night out and ask her out to lunch, she cancels a few days because of timetable constraints. Then we have one of those nights where you stay up talking and she says Romance is dead and says that guys these days aren't romantic.

So, my plan was to make the most overly romantic first date possible and I'd need my friends to help with it. Date was on a saturday and I was stuck in Labs all friday before the shops close, Get my friend to pick up candles, strawberries and chocolate.

Day of the date I pick up some roses and walk to her workplace and deliver them to her, had to hide so she didn't see me, had to hide directly under the till at one point. So I handed them off to her and she wasn't too thrilled, she was embarrassed and didn't know how to react. So I leave, thrilled I did such an exhilerating thing.

Later it's time for the real date, Minigolf and dinner, I pay for the minigolf and she suggests going to McDonalds for dinner to save money (sick right?) So we golf and talk about stuff, not just idle chit chat either, our families, our history etc, real talk and it was lovely and this girl was everything I was hoping for. After dinner we walk home(30 min walk) Halfway through I text my friend to set it up. I ask if she wants to watch a film or something In my room and she said yes(thank fuck) So I open the door and she walks in. Boom

Candles, Her favourite love songs are playing (Ed Sheeran Thinking out loud and a few others) red mood light, romantic as fuck right? That's not it. Chocolate and Strawberries AND a poem. I wrote her a damn poem. Now, this could have gone either way and she could've walked out just then considering I'd known this girl for a week... But she loved it and was moved to tears so we spent the rest of the night together talking etc.

She's my girlfriend of 10 months soon :) Never been happier.

tl;dr delivered roses to her work, Wrote a chick a poem for the first date, room had candles, red mood lighting and Ed Sheeran playing with Strawberries and Chocolate. Could've gone either way Creepy/Romantic
