[Serious] Long time teachers of reddit, what differences do you observe in your students today, and the students you taught 5,10,20 years ago?

Damn, a lot of the adults here are acting like stereotypical elderly men and women. All "Back in my day" trying to act like they're been on the earth for ages. Because the 90's are "so damn far away" Bitch, shut the fuck up, you day was about 10 years ago, you aren't old, you aren't wise, so stop acting like you are. Most of your aren't even 30 and even then you've still got a long way to go so please just stop. Attitudes are slightly more brattier and less enjoyable. Socially wise, I'd say this generation is better then the previous one. Kid's now have finally learned to be "two-faced" to spare peoples feelings and less talking shit in someone face where as the previous generations had less of a social filter and would just say whatever the fuck they wanted not thinking of the consequences..

To answer the question, this generation of children seemed to get "smarter" but also dumber. While it SEEMS like the kids have gotten smarter, but in the long run they grow up to be dumbass adults who without Google, couldn't do shit. According to a study, 80% of the students in the top of their class resort to cheating and 95% have not got caught. The grading system is completely flawed and Children today aren't caring about what they learn and how they apply it to life, they want to get those straight A's so they can get the newest I phone. Kid's back then without the technology to spoil them took their education more seriously and less, grade wise. They were actually "learning" instead of just pulling out their cell phones to find out how to tip a waiter.Attitudes are slightly more brattier and less enjoyable. Socially wise, I'd say this generation is better then the previous one. Kid's now have finally learned to be "two-faced" to spare peoples feelings and less talking shit in someone face where as the previous generations had less of a social filter and would just say whatever the fuck they wanted not thinking of the consequences... Still horrible cruel, empathy lacking bitches though, just a little more "under the covers" now.
