I was 17 and a volunteer as part of a summer program for 16-17 year olds. In the group there was only one girl my age and in my year and we clicked well. Although not illegal, my low level volunteer position and her being on the program made out friendship frowned upon so we kept it secret. A few months later we were drunk one night she tried to get me to sleep with her, being a closeted trans women at the time sex was a huge no for me. When she didn’t get what she wanted she threatened to tell my boss and anyone else who would listen that I was trying to pressure her for sex. I at the time thought that would wind up with me as a sex offender so let her have her way with me. Our ‘friendship’ didn’t last much longer. Don’t put yourself in compromising situations.
