I don't have any advice, but since you asked how we met, here goes:

1. I had a friend with benefits at my first job before the pandemic. We socialised via the frequent office parties and started going out on our own later. It was amazing and fun! In hindsight, what worked for us was the fact that we only had a few months. She was going abroad for MS and I was changing firms as well. So we had a really mature and attachment-less relationship(?). We're still good friends and text once in a while.

Pandemic was a long break as it was hard to meet anyone.

1. Recently I was on a flight back to Bangalore from Delhi, coming from my friend's wedding. I noticed the cute girl sitting besides me. Mustering all the courage I had, I said hello. We ended up talking the entirety of the 3 hr flight, and even shared a cab from the airport. She's new to Bangalore so I took her to places and we started dating soon thereafter. It's been an exciting couple of months!

If I have to give an advice, it would be this: Engage in activities which increase your probabilities of finding someone. That's why people suggest gatherings and various classes. They don't guarantee, but rather increase your odds. Also have good communication skills and be confident, but more importantly, don't be afraid of rejections. I actually got friend-zoned by a bumble match once. But now we've ended up being good friends and hang out once a month now. Cheers! :)
