[Serious] Parents of Reddit, what was a legit reason why you didn't let your son/daughter have THAT friend over/go to a sleepover?

My daughter (14) had a best friend that was very open about being gay. (That was not the problem he mother was an alcoholic and had anger outbursts very often) Her friend had been over to our place a ton of times and nothing bad happened. One day my husband and I let her go over and have a sleep over. It was about 4am when we got a call from her mother saying that er need to come pick our daughter up. She then later told us that she walked in on out daughter and her friend having sex. We didn't let her go back over again. Then about 3 months later he4 mother got arrested for aggravated assault her other daughter. She isn't allowed to go over but she is always welcome at our house. Now my daughter has the best girlfriend in the world and a new roommate.
