[Serious] People of Reddit who have been interrogated by the police, how was it? What was the reason?

In high school, maybe 11th grade/jr year, I was in gym class and down kid starts a conversation with myself and a friend of mine and tells us it's his last day because he's moving and want to pull the fire alarm. Ok, I don't know the kid but whatever floats your boat what can i do about it? So after he's going on and on class is over and I'm walking to the next one and I hear the alarm go off. Ok he did it. After the twenty or so minutes we are let back in to the school and in like an hour or half hour it goes off again. He did it again, this kid is just dumb. So maybe an hour after that I get called out of class and into a room where two police are interrogating me saying someone mentioned I might know something. My dumbass friend told them about me being there, wtf. I didn't know the kid or anyone else do it had to be him. Anyway they played good cop bad cop with me and I found it amusing. "Look we just want any information you have a it what happened, we know you know about about it do just let us know" type of thing. And the other cop acted as tough as he could I n that situation and says "look the fire department is out here for a false alarm and a house burns to the ground in (nearby town)." Trying to guilt me. Which wasn't true, they were different departments and I knew there were enough trucks. Anyway I didn't knew the kids name anyway so I told hen I don't knew what happened and they let me leave after ten minutes.

The worst part was for the kid when they did find out because here was standardized testing going on that he interrupted and I heard he had to pay for the rest to be redone, like $10k and like $15k per false alarm as a fine and cost of getting the fire department there (the school was over 2000 kids so a lot of them were taking the test). Who knows what happened or was settled with his parents.

TL;DR kid told me he was going to pull the fire alarm his last day of school and did. I got questioned for info because a friend of mine told them I knew.
