Serious question: Does this community have issues with people making posts about what they don't like?

I mean it's reddit, so yeah you'll probably catch a few dislikes if you voice an opinion some people disagree with lol. Honestly while I've witnessed a bit of what you're talking about here and there, this sub really isn't too bad with it, all things considered. I've been downvoted over a politely stated unpopular opinion, but I've never had any personal attacks or anything remotely like that here.

Of course, there are a few die-hard fanboy types who will view any opposing view about their favorite movies or directors, regardless of context or how reasonably stated it is. This is a community filled with passionate devotees to a niche genre that appeals largely to outcasts and has always caught pushback from mainstream critics who don't see what we see in these films. The same passion that makes us so devoted and excited about the genre can lead some to be a little overprotective of their beloved films.

To be fair, this genre does draw in a lot of young men and that of course is going include some displays of arrogance and combativeness, but compared to the same demographic in other subs, it's pretty mild. I've found that Horror fandom tends to be really friendly, positive, and accepting. It reminds me of metalheads in that regard. You may run into one or two douches but overall it's a great scene filled with cool people.
