*serious* Raptors in Abrahamic religions: How do you respond to those that believe homosexuality is a biblical sin? How do you interpret the text yourself?

It doesn't make it automatically terrible, but it makes sense to question anything anyone writes (whether they are men or women- men just happened to write the bible.) I have already said that. Men (humans) are imperfect- fallable. If you go around trusting everything that everyone says then you would have no concept of reality. You must use your best judgement and test against that which you find to be true for yourself. The story of Lot makes no sense in modern context. Would you make the same decisions as Lot today? First of all, would you let any old bum in your house from off the street who claimed to be an angel?

My mother led her life believing that Angels were very real and wandered around in disguise all the time. We had a stream of people with mental illness in and out of our home somewhat often. It had some lasting damaging effects on me. So, I think thay Lot was a fucking jackass, I don't care what the author of that story thinks that god told him.

I personally have no idea whether or not it is possible to communicate with god, but it seems to be the leading principle behind Christianity.

Think for yourself, that is all.
