[Serious] Reddit, what are some 'once in a lifetime' occurances that have been captured by a camera?

Long time lurker, but I had to create an account.

Yesterday I went to the gas station (like any other normal day) to buy cigarettes. I set my purse on the counter and felt something fall in my foot, so I looked down...and there sat an envelope from a local bank. I bent down, picked it up and sat it with my other belongings, because let's face it...if I didn't find it, someone else would have. I'm just being honest, here...

I took it with me to work and instantly went to the back to count it because I was curious and I needed to see what I was dealing with. I flipped through the bills and my jaw dropped...

There was $900 in that envelope...basically the answer to all of my problems. I couldn't believe what I had stumbled across. In my opinion, this was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, but at someone else's expense. I found it at the cash register with the cameras pointed on me, no doubt.

So I went back to the store today to see if someone had come back looking for something they had lost. Not surprisingly, someone did come back looking for $900.

So now here I am waiting to hear from the manager of the store, so I can get the person's contact information so I can give it back. According to the employee at the store that had spoke with the person that lost it said they were using it for their house payment, so it was pretty important.

I have no problem giving the money back...especially because it would have hurt someone else. The money isn't mine, I don't deserve it...but it could have fixed every problem I have.

I'm glad the owner was found though. It does make me feel good to know I made someone else feel happy.

That's probably worth more than $900 anyway, right?
