[Serious] Sociopaths of reddit, what made you realise that you are one? did you try to change anything?

When I was in my teens the internet was really slow and I wanted a faster connection. I would remote access the router and shut it off when anyone was using the internet and when anyone was watching television. After three days we got a guy to come and got the best service.

Lied my way into the military and worked with artillery. Got out and got the two houses my grandparents gave to me in lovely California. Went to college with my GI Bill and the other one, used their basement as a torture room for about seventy cats over my four years of college.

I knew something was really fucked up but I never though to do anything about it until I got a really well paying job and got a psychiatrist. I've since stopped the torture and don't have any pets.

Sold one house put about 900,000 of that in a mixed investment, with the rest I bought a nice car, a few nice cameras and made a darkroom for film development in my basement and traveled for a year before coming back and working for another hardware company that makes optics for defense. I know that my tendencies to lie and bargain have given me the power to raise my salary and gain promotions.

I haven't had a girlfriend ever and usually just go out with a few girls that I knew from college or work, I only ever have sex with high end escorts, about one or two a month.

I often hire models or have my friends pose for me and jack off to the images.

I don't speak to my family, they haven't heard from me since the day I left for BCT in 2001.

I like how people call me a hero for service and sometimes I make stuff up about it to be a hero and have one night stands where I impress the women, but I can't hold a relationship for longer than a few weeks, I've beaten one girl but she didn't know who it was.

I didn't tell my psychiatrist about that one. I often fantasize about going back to war but I'm too old, and I fantasize about about torturing cats or finding and raping women but I won't act on those.
