[Serious] Those who have had the death of a loved one featured on a reality crime show: did you participate? were they respectful? did you think it was covered accurately? anything you think they omitted?

A series of murders in my hometown (small town, parents vaguely know the victims and we live down the road from them) got a show. We also showed up on Nancy Grace. Nancy Grace was the better of the two. Nancy Grace wanted justice. She grilled one of the suspects on national TV and his fumbling for answers is actually now part of the evidence against him. The show, while pretty thorough, fudged the order of events to make the case against one suspect stronger. They came to the same conclusion everyone in our town did, but everyone was generally unenthused/unhappy about the TV network treating our town's tragedy as a juicy story instead of a plea for help and answers.

What evidence the show DID find was inadmissible in court for various reasons.

TL;DR They did the story justice, but not in a way that would have helped actually solve the murders. It was disappointing.
