[Serious]UK redditors, how many terrorist attacks will it take for you to reconsider your stance on Islamic immigration into your country?

I certainly reckon that this is a case of a stitch in time.

We need to face the reality that this is a problem that is not going away. We can't say for sure that it will worsen ad infinitum, but it is living in denial to believe that enough is being done. It isn't.

I believe it is high time to stop holding the security services to the task of managing this issue.

It's beyond question that the vast majority of muslims deplore killing in the name of their religion. I don't think it's beyond question that those same people are doing enough, collectively, to be the first to report hate speech, to be intolerant of divisive school curricula, to make a mockery of intolerance, to raise their voices at every opportunity.

Whilst I may seem very harsh, truly what is the alternative? The alternative is that we continue to say that our society recognises that the muslim community is doing enough. Until such time as another major attack or two begins to begin breeding hostility in a faction of the non-muslim UK population. Hate breeds hate, and hate is no good. Stupid people will always find ways to latch onto hate and use it as a vehicle for inappropriate violence.

Islamic extremism hasn't been nipped in the bud, not yet, and the only people capable of doing a credible job of effecting the necessary change are the positive, forward thinking muslim community who are cherished by the pacifistic and sensible amongst british society.
