[Serious] What is the actual scariest photo on the internet?

Well Kaael,

It appears that you are certainly coming from a SIGNIFICANTLY more informed opinion about North Korea, that is likely light years ahead of most of us in insight.

But... I hate to bring this up... but I was detecting a pretty strong hint of elitism/anger in a couple of your comments.

Those particular comments seem to be taking a rather strong jab by seemingly generalizing/characterizing all Redditers as just a bunch of stuffy "arm chair" thinkers, who do not deserve to give their opinions on topics.

A bit of the tone I got was, "I wrote a thesis. You didn't. So shut the f--k up! You don't know anything on this topic!"

Perhaps that's not the elitist/angry tone you wanted to convey... but I kinda got that vibe a few times reading your couple of posts above.

But if that is truly how you feel about other people expressing their thoughts/ideas on Reddit...

but yet here you are on Reddit, feeling drawn to be a part of this community and participate, and give your own thoughts/ideas (and I might add participate in an extremely helpful way considering your expertise on this topic, in which you have given insightful insight into a possible changing tide in China)...

then, I just want to clarify: are you really truly trying to imply that the rest of us should just shut up, because we have not written a PhD thesis on the topic we are commenting upon?

If that's not how you feel, than rather than conveying a sense of anger/elitism towards others (by repeatedly stating over and over "I wrote a thesis"... you might find an even GREATER number of people receptive to you, and genuinely appreciative of your expert contribution, if you take a more positive approach.

I guess the main point I'm trying to make here:

You don't have to be "angry" or "elitist" in tone, in order to be animated, passionate, and say that you are worried there are some misconceptions about the North Korea/China situation, but you have researched this topic intensely and would love to give us more information about it.

That was the part I liked best about your comments above: your clear and GENUINE passion on this topic, and I was attracted to that aspect in you, and wanted to read more of what you have to say on this...

Finally, I don't even know why I'm bothering to take this time to point this out to you... but I guess because I saw your passion and intelligence... and I wouldn't want you to go through life maring that great aspect about yourself with a couple of off-putting "elitist" or "angry" sounding lines, in what is otherwise a great and eloquent contribution to this reddit community discussion.
