[Serious] What is arguably the worst thing your country has done in its history, and how was it taught to you in school?

"Amount of rapes and treatment of women."

Until you find some real sources, nobody with a sane mind will believe you. Nobody had the "India is rapey" idea three years ago, this has come recently with circlejerk behavior.

You might be interested to know that even if you mess the numbers around with "the 'reported' vs 'not reported' percentage" excuse, India is at the very worst only a bit worse in rape than India.

Per 100,000 people India has a reported rape of... wait for the booming number... wait for it... 1.8! Per hundred thousand people! OHMAHGAWD! /s

But don't worry! In the USA, with all our amazing progress by our amazing godly country, hail murica, we have reached a magnificently row rate of rape. 27.3 per hundred thousand. //s

To recap: the USA is 15 times rapier than India unless you're going with the inane notion that only 6% of rapes are reported in India. That number is assuming 100% are reported in the USA, which, obviously, they're not.

Source.

Hey! But wait a second. India, that horrid country with two major rape cases (when the police raped some kids and the bus incident) out of a population over several times bigger than ours has BROWN people in it! And... they're stinky horrible guys! Stupid dikshits! /s

Seriously, some people are retarded. Every time progress on a rape case is mentioned, they think it's multiple rape cases. Like in one of them: "Policemen arrested over rape of children." They'll phrase it so you think the policemen raped (some did, in another case) and then they'll give you some more updates "rape case including policeman" and the idiots will think it's several or ever dozen different rape cases.

So, if you think propaganda is limited to posters (the sheets of paper, not reddit submitters), think again.
