[SERIOUS] What can we do, as citizens of Toronto, to help make our city safer and foster unity and togetherness in our city?

And seriously to practice what we preach. I just had to block someone on here got the first time IN the Danforth shooting thread. Even after I messaged them personally. I shared that I worked in clinical psychology (seriously only to make a point.... Which in hindsight was stupid but I'm not perfect), and they dug up a post where I said I worked in IT. I do work in IT. I was working in clinical psychology for years, in community treatment, but that's more of a mouthful than saying social worker (and I think most practioners in mental health, in social services, in shelters, in transitional facilities would agree with me)..... I left fucking social work 3 years ago to work in IT and it was the best thing I ever did. But I even messaged them personally and they continued to go at me "oh you're using big words to make us think you're smart get your shit together". I've also had an incredibly difficult past few years. Everything isn't always as it seems and maybe we shouldn't think thatthe bunch of words on the screen is a robot. Ending because I'm obviously upset. Upset because that shooting really shook me up, and I can't even form a sense of community on here with ppl about it without being attacked. Practice. What. We. Preach.
