I once was driving from Las Vegas to Seattle. I was alone and just doing a straight shot through the desert and lower Cascades. There were no other vehicles on the road for miles and the closest town was 50+ miles away. At the California border, I pulled over to take a nap a little ways from the road in my tent and get dinner going. I was in the middle of cooking up some hot pockets and rice when I heard heavy breathing from what sounded like a large cow or horse, but it was different. It sounded almost mechanical. I'm not a religious or spritual person by any means, but I did whisper a little prayer to whatever entity is out there. I just left everything, including my tent, and hightailed it back to my car. I turned brights on and peeled outta there. As I was leaving, I saw what looked like a large moose galloping away from me, but it was way too skinny and tall. In the morning, I went back and grabbed my stuff. The tent had hoof prints a good 12" across stamped in it. I now fly, rather than drive. I still don't know what I saw, but I refuse to believe what I saw was some supernatural being, as I've been told by some people.
