A very distressed woman I didn't know once contacted me through Facebook. She asked if I'd ever known her ex fiancé. I told her no. She then told me that her ex had claimed to have had a relationship with me when they were in high school and that they were traumatized when I got in a car accident. She said he had been on the phone with me when it happened and he heard me die. Apparently it contributed to a lot of depression he had during the years of their relationship.

I think its important to add that she was a verified mortician and had access to death certificates. She told me she had checked for the record and found one with my exact name. She also knew where I had gone to high school and a few other details I've since forgotten. I was so confused in the moment that I never asked her any of the questions that quickly came to mind after the conversation. I never spoke to her again but its definitely the strangest thing thats happened to me.
