[Serious] What have you done in real life that deserves gold?

Hope I'm not too late. I should preface this by saying that I was visiting my grandparents for the summer, who live quite far from my home, roughly an 8 hour drive.

I saved my grandfather's life when he was having a stroke while I was in the car with him, I was 11. We had just gone to the store to pick up a few things, it was only 5 minutes down the road (this becomes relevant shortly). Everything seemed fine, until we started on our way back home. I quickly noticed that we weren't heading the way we usually do, but he assured me that he just wanted to go for a drive. I didn't think much of it, so I began day dreaming, with a bit of conversation here and there. Next thing I knew I saw a road sign for the beach, which happens to be upwards of 40 minutes away from home. I began to worry. I asked my grandfather what was going on, but he said he wasn't sure. There was a gas station up ahead and I demanded he pull over so I could try and call my grandmother. Of course this happened to be the one time he didn't have his cell phone or my grandmother's number with him. The stop was to no avail, and since I wasn't a local to the area, I didn't know the way back.

Nevertheless, I tried pointing us back towards their house, but I ended up sending us the exact opposite way, whoops. Fast-forward another hour or so of him driving, occasionally nodding his head and yawning quite frequently, and I tell him to pull over again, this time at a church. I figured there has got to be someone there that could help right? Unfortunately, nobody was present, but the side door was unlocked. My grandfather went inside because he had to use the bathroom, meanwhile I'm standing outside shitting bricks. I did the only thing I could think of, I flagged down a car to ask for help. I asked the lady who pulled in if I could use her phone, and explained the whole situation. She let me and I called the police. Finally some luck, my grandmother also had called the police, as she was worried we went missing, and they matched the cases up.

The cops gave my aunt and uncle the address and they came to pick us up. My uncle drove his car back and we rode with my aunt. They immediately took him to the hospital where they diagnosed him with a stroke. When he came to the following afternoon, he told the doctors that the only reason he didn't give up while he was in the car was because he wanted to make sure I'd stay safe.
