[Serious] What paranormal experiences have you actually had that you cannot explain?

Am I late? I'll give it a shot anyway. Sorry I'm terrible at writing but I love to share this when I get the opportunity

So as a little backstory, I had been hearing really really loud thumping sounds coming from above my ceiling (we do have an attic). Every night it would wake me up it around 3am or so and it would keep me up until it stopped about a half hour later. The weird thing about it was it happened at seemingly consistent intervals (every ~5 minutes). Since I'm a rational person I just blew it off as an animal of some sort that may have been living in the attack, which isn't uncommon where I live. To describe the noise, it very much sounded as if it were a heavy man with boots on walking heavily above me.

It was progressively getting louder and about 2 weeks after it started, I awoke to an incredibly loud bang. This one sounded as though someone dropped a piano on my ceiling. That wasn't fun at all to wake up to, had my heart racing incredibly fast. I do live with my family, so when I was trying to figure out what it could have been, I suspected maybe someone slammed the door and the sound somehow traveled in a way that made it seem like it came from directly above me, but if you seen the way my house is set up it's not plausible, plus it didn't sound like a door slamming, not only was it much louder, it made a much different noise. So I was quite scared at this point and wanted to have my eyes on as much of my room as possible for a few minutes before I tried to go back to sleep. Now before I mention this, I want to note that I ALWAYS leave my TV station on NBC or BBC America before I fall asleep and I always use closed captions on anything I watch because I like to know exactly what all the characters are saying. No exceptions. I also have a very good memory. When I turned a bit, my TV station was on something different. Can't remember specifically what channel it was on or what show, but a totally different channel than anything I ever even consider was on and the moment I turned the captions said something I can't specifically remember, but it was something that seemed like talking to me about the bang (i.e. "did you hear me", "be careful now"). There was no way I could have accidently rolled on my remote to change it to that station. It was a very odd one. (I normally have 10 and 241 on, it was something like 59).

I didn't fall asleep for a few hours and questioned my family about anything they may have been doing at that time and got nothing. I've never told anyone about this except the internet so yeah.

I wrote an account of it on a different website the morning after when I was still shaken up from it (I was like 15 at the time). If I find it I'll edit it in a pastebin, but I don't think I will, I'm pretty sure I deleted it because I was embarrassed because I suck at writing :p
