[Serious] What’s the creepiest/scariest thing you’ve seen but no one believes you?

Driving on I65 to Chicago for a meeting and my colleague and I need to find a restroom. We find a random exit that has a gas station off the exit ramp but the place looks Deserted. We're several hours early for our meeting and we've got to go badly so we figure we'll drive around to the back of it and discreetly find a place to go.

We're walking around the back and there's syringes, an empty safe, garbage everywhere, screws and nails, a charred doll-it looks like something post apocalyptic, right off the interstate. The name of the gas station is Crazy D's. We walk around front and there's dust on the windows, broken gas pumps, we peer inside and see a little restaurant with chairs and tables, covered in dust cloths and some broken piles of garbage in the corners. We get seriously spooked and decide to do our business and jet quickly.

We had our meeting until 6:00 and start driving back home. It's a bit past sunset and we're near Crazy D's so we decide to drive up to it again. It was super spooky during the day so we decide to take a look at it at night, just for kicks.

As we get off the interstate, the place is Hopping. Cars everywhere. It's lit up like a Christmas tree outside and inside. They're serving food in the restaurant, the little gas station store is open and people are coming and going.

When I said earlier that the place looked like an apocalyptic wasteland, that wasn't hyperbole. It was DESERTED during the day and looked like it had been condemned.

We debated on whether or not to go inside at night and eventually decided we'd seen From Dusk til Dawn and didn't want to chance it.

We went to the next exit and there's a truck stop with a Gigantic Cross that's lit up like the sun outside it. You can see it from miles away. We asked the cashier what was up with the cross and he said, "the owners are super religious and they think this town needs salvation. Thinks funny things happen too often around here."
