The house I lived in as a little kid had a bathroom where the toilet was directly in front of the door. I quickly figured out that you could see the kitchen tv from the toilet while you did your business so, when I was home alone and had to poop, I'd watch tv from the toilet.

One day I gotta make, so I take the remote into the bathroom with me and set it on the sink. All of a sudden the volume on the tv rapidly goes up. This particular tv had green bars that went from left to right across the screen when you turned the volume up. I was dumbfounded as I watched these green bars advance across the screen, getting louder and louder, and then I remembered the remote was right next to me and I wasn't doing it.

So, in an effort to sound tough since I was like 9 years old, I yelled "TURN DOWN THE FUCKING VOLUME" and as soon as I did the green bars rapidly went in the other direction back across the screen. Way faster than when the volume was being increased. It was like someone was pressing the down volume button as hard as they could, compared to before when they pressed it one push at a time. Then, as soon as the volume got all the way down to zero, the TV turned off entirely.

I screamed and slammed the bathroom door and hid in the bathroom until my parents got home. The tv never did anything like that again and neither parent believed me when I told them about it.
