I went to a relative’s house that I had not seen in many years to look through some belongings that were left for me by my grandmother. She died while I was traveling.

We had a few drinks together. It turned out that this relative was a drug addict and was out of her mind. The night turned really bad when I said something that deeply offended her boyfriend. I don’t remember what I said, but before I knew what was going on I was being called a communist and was on the floor.

The boyfriend began strangling me and would stop to scream in my face only to then start strangling me again. I eventually passed out from this and woke up to being dragged across the floor. When my aunt noticed that I had come to she stood over me and said “stop pretending to be dead”

I was stopped when I tried to get away by the brother of the boyfriend who also strangled me and pushed me around like I was made of paper. I had never felt so defenseless in my life.

They had called a cab for me way before this happened and when it got there it started honking it’s horn. The boyfriend grabbed me by the arm and jerked me into the yard and then forced me into the cab. The cab driver called the police and sent them to my home address. I was covered in cuts and bruises and sobbing uncontrollably.

The police arrived at my house an hour later. They took me to the hospital and I was analyzed by a forensic nurse and interviewed by multiple police officers.
