[Serious] What seems legal but is actually illegal?

It would be very odd in the beat that I work for someone to park that far from the bar. The bars all have big parking lots and there aren’t really sidewalks.

I was actually referencing a recent case I had where I see a car parked in just a random place in the CVS parking lot at like 3AM, not even in a parking spot, just in the lot alone. I walk up and this guy is fucking hammered and says he was drinking at a bar a few blocks away. I asked him how he ended up here and he says he parked at CVS and walked there and he was sleeping it off now. If that was true I would have just gotten him a cab, but I had been in the CVS lot about 5 minutes prior and his car wasn’t there then, so he got himself a DUI. Now in my state, if you are DUI on private property, you don’t get the automatic license suspension, so at least he didn’t lose his license.
