[Serious] What stories about WW2 did your grandparents tell you and/or what did you find out about their lives during that period?

My grandparents on my mother's side were both from Germany. My grandpa was forced into the army but he was an engineer so he spent the majority of the war designing tanks and other vehicles. My grandma's dad was actually a wealthy industrialist and owned a large railroad company. He actually was able to get some Jews out of the country using his operations early in the Nazi's campaign against them. However it wasn't long before his company had to be forfeited to the Nazi's for their war operations. My mom used to tell me stories about how her Aunt (my great aunt) was infatuated with Nazism and my great grandpa would lock her in her room when there were meetings and rallys going on their town to keep her away from them.
