[Serious] What is a true story that you've wanted to share but haven't?

After my car was rear ended while I was at work, and the Jeep that rear ended me was pressed up against my car still, I felt pretty dumbfounded that he would just leave his Jeep there like that, clearly pushing my rusted junker up off the back wheels.

When I went to the police station, they said there was nothing they could do and that it wasn't worth filling out the police report. I explained that the Jeep was still touching mine, and asked if they could come take a look or give me his info. They said no.

Then I called my insurance who told me they couldn't give me his info from his plate # because I didn't have collision on my (shitty) car. They said the police were the only ones who could give that to me, after I filled out the report.

So I filed the report, heard nothing back for three weeks. Called, called, called. Walked in. The two police officers DGAF and told me that it wasn't worth dealing with - that I should go buy a new bumper for $100 and spray paint it yellow.

Literally, the Jeep was parked hitting my car. It dislocated my exhaust system ($1,500 to replace as it detached from my engine) and rendered my car unfit to pass inspection and wasn't worth fixing as it was only worth about $130.

A month later, a girl hit me making an illegal U-Turn from a parked metered spot. She got so mad while I remained calm, exchanged info, called insurance. Her front left wheel hit my back right side, pretty clearly her fault as she darted out from a parked spot while me and many other cars were all going by on the road.

Her insurance called me to ask me 40 questions. They called three times, asking the same questions.

On the final time, the lady started yelling at me pretty much saying "well our client says you illegally passed her on the double yellow line while speeding while she was trying to make a left turn!!!" I literally laughed into the phone and hung up.

In the end, I got nothing from either incident. No justice. Even though it was so obvious. Just plain stupidity, and I don't tell anyone about it because it's an annoying long story that isn't very exciting. But it taught me I can't even trust the pretty friendly Boston police and that lies can be stronger than truth. Damnit.
