[Serious] What is your ghost story?

  • Once saw a ghost in my dad's apartment as a child. It was morning, and this woman in a long black dress was flying through the hallway, going from doorway to doorway. Me, my sis, and my cousin all saw her from the living room, though I was the last one to notice her. I didn't believe their insistence that she was there until I saw her fly by. I saw the sunlight filtering through the window behind her, she was totally transparent, and she didn't have feet touching the ground. I was a kid and ended up fleeing the apartment because I was so scared. It was the first time I actually saw a ghost in real life. And oh man, she was fast. I was just glad she didn't fly after me like in the movies lol.

  • I was walking through a dark park with my friends around 10:00 at night. We had flashlights and we were walking along a trail in the darkness, but I kept hearing footsteps behind and beside us. As the person in the back, I kept turning around in response to the sounds. Then out of nowhere, I heard a really loud shrilly scream, followed by childish giggles and laughter. It made me jump in place and I turned my head towards where I heard the scream, but only saw trees. Because no one else reacted or seemed to hear it (despite how loud it was), I didn't say a word until we got out. There was no one else in the park or in the nearby neighborhoods except us... it was really quiet. I asked my friends if they heard the scream. They all looked at me quizzically and one person asked "What scream?" That's when it occurred to me that I was the only one who heard it.

  • One night, I had an intense feeling that I was being watched. Like someone was seriously checking me out and studying me. I was actually asleep during this time, but the feeling was so strong that it woke me up. The moment I became conscious, I opened my eyes, sat straight up, and looked in the direction I felt the heavy gaze. Standing a few feet from my bed was a tall shadow, darker than the darkness of the room. Only its eyes were white, like a person's, and I stared back at those eyes without blinking. I didn't blink because I wanted to be sure I was actually seeing it, not imagining it. Our staring contest went on for what seemed like 10 seconds until the shadow figure dissipated like smoke and the heaviness lifted. Then I lied back down and went back to sleep.
