There was this guy who was in the same grade I was in before this happened (grade 11), he was driving home when he got into a very bad car accident that made him wheelchair bound. The entire school did a fundraiser to help pay for the hospital bills to help this guy’s family out. Fast forward a year, grade 12, we were at our graduation. I was sitting at the front when I saw him being helped by the Assistant Principal to the stage from backstage. Never thought anything of it until the principal called his name. He rolled up about halfway on the stage and promptly stood up with a walker in hand, to walk to get his diploma, the crowd went ballistic, and the entire graduating class went ballistic as well. Needless to say, the local news got wind of it, and I’ll be sure to post it here when I find it.
