[Serious] What is your most terrifying "we need to leave, NOW" random rush of fear you've felt?

When I was eight-years-old I was playing on my street with some friends. We were closer to the corner than we were the neighborhood’s interior so a fair amount of traffic was zipping by. A guy pulled into the street and was faking like he needed directions.

Even with all the “Stranger Danger” talk, I derped my way over to his car to get a closer look at an envelope he was waving around. Thought I’d be able to help him find his way. When I was two-to-three feet away he opened the car door and swiped at my forearm; full-kidnap maneuver.

I jumped back and began screaming “HELP!!”, “MOMMY!”, and whatever else I blurted out. The sicko peeled out back onto the main road and disappeared. I’d either be dead or suffering from PTSD if that fucker had grabbed me.

Blink of an eye is all it takes.
