My wife and I were vacationing in Seoul years ago. There was a restaurant in Insadong that was run by a Buddhist temple and served vegetarian food. I was, at the time, a vegetarian.

We sat at a low table completely covered with dozens small bowls and plates containing various delicious delicacies. We ate while the a traditional Korean dance troupe performed a play, played music, and danced for us. The atmosphere, the food, and the entertainment made it the best meal of my life.

Second best was probably Atoine's in New Orleans. The food is incredible, but the real joy of the evening was just walking around the restaurant after we finished eating. It's a huge, beautiful old building, and we strolled around it drinking our digestifs. Good times.
