Parents took me (12F at the time) and my brother (3) to visit my step dads brother, in America (we’re Canadian)

He was a doctor in Indiana, so massive house. The adults decided to go out for some reason and thought it was safe leaving me alone to watch my brother, because that’s what they did at home.

A drunk man forced his way in the back door while we were playing piano, covered my mouth from behind and dragged me backwards to the dark kitchen. He started molesting me and I could smell the alcohol on his breath

I was crying and begging my brother to run to the neighbours for help. The man yelled “No Mason you stay right there!” And my brother stayed right there, crying, watching this man rip my clothes off and molest me.

Eventually he left, and moments later the pizza guy shows up. I answer the door in tears saying I needed help....he was scared off and left. Didn’t help the two children. Looking back, what a dick move that was. To come upon two crying children saying a man just attacked them, and you get in your car and drive away doing nothing

I found a phone and called 911. Eventually cops showed up, they used dogs to track the man to a busy road then lost the scent.

My first trip to America and I was raped by a drunk stranger. Can’t say I have a very high opinion of Americans after that. It’s been 24 years and I can still smell the alcohol from his breath.
