[Serious] What's your current net worth and goal net worth?

Give you a quick run down. Had a business that I grew for about 10 years. Everything was running so smoothly that I got ride of all the employees and was working about 1 day out the month. At the height, I was netting 60-80K month. Then the market collapsed. Within literally two weeks, all my suppliers AND my customers told me they were getting hurt bad, all budgets had been cut, and they was no way they could either supply me or buy from me. Prior to the crash, I had bought commercial properties, land and warehouse with the excess cash. So first, my business was no longer a business, then all my hard assets lost 50% of their value. Trying to stop the freefall, I invested in a startup. Got my butt handed to me and then some. Lawsuit ensue, and while I prevailed, I still lost cash and more importantly, time. I turned my attention to the stock market. Bought heavily into HUN right before they settled the lawsuit. Picked up the shares a $3.50 on average. Sold them later for $15/share. Next thing I know I get a letter from the IRS saying I owe another 90K. Seems like they saw me as a daytrader and applied the another tax rate. At that point, bankruptcy was imminent. I tried to work with the bank. Fat chance. Didn't matter that the commercial lot was paid in full, that my house was halfway paid for with positive equity despite the market value, or that I ran millions of dollars through their banks. So, I went through the bankruptcy, realized that no one will stand by you when crap hits the fan. Bankers, lawyers, judges, all stand above, picking your flesh clean. Worse, I had to pick between my house or a tiny start-up. I chose the start-up. Only time will tell if it was the right decision.
