My husband and I were driving past a well-kept cemetery during the day. It was a cemetery we've driven past many times in our lives. The skies overhead were blue and cloudless. It was a picture perfect postcard type day in the desert Southwest. That's when I saw something that marred the beauty of the day and has haunted my memory ever since. Inside the cemetery, on the front row of aligned headstones was a disturbed grave site. I saw a weather beaten coffin standing up out of the ground. Nobody was near it. In fact, there wasn't even a grounds keeper nearby to have noticed it yet. The mere sight of such a thing was disturbing. I've often wondered if grave robbers were responsible for digging up the coffin. It was an unexpected sight to behold. And one in which I'd never wish to see again.~~~~~~~~ Tl;dr: Saw a disturbed grave in which someone dug up a coffin and left it for anyone passing by to see. Also, today I learned on Google that this cemetery is renowned for being haunted. Apparently, it is a hotbed of paranormal activity.
