[Serious]When have YOU asked to “speak to the manager”?

suckered into buying the extended warranty.

the place is now out of business.

CompUSA? I was repair tech for a while there. Sorry about the warranty shitshow. We did the best we could to fix everyone up, but often management gets in the way (either CompUSA management, or the warranty company's).

I heard a story once... laptop had come in 3 or 4 times for the same repair, each time failing again within a couple weeks. Warranty company kept refusing a full replacement.

The next time in for repair, the computer didn't work at all, so the customer got a full replacement. That didn't have anything whatsoever to do with the cable in the shop that had an ethernet jack on one end, and a power plug on the other end.
