[Serious] When did COVID-19 get real for you?

I work in food service at a hospital, and every day we have a safety meeting before lunch. Every meeting since February has been about COVID, but during the second week of March, my boss solemnly said to all of us "At this point it's not a matter of if, but when."

That's what got me. It suddenly occured to me how. grave it was and how important it was for me in my profession to do everything I could to keep everyone safe. I serve food to doctors and nurses who are working directly with patients who are at the highest risk, and if I do something stupid I could be responsible for the lives of others.

Needless to say I've buckled down so hard on handwashing and glove changing that my skin is screaming and I go through about three boxes of gloves daily.
