My boyfriend and his friend were once driving late on a stretch of empty highway in the woods of northern California. His friend was at the wheel, and as they were talking, they see this car travelling opposite direction. As it nears, it starts to merge into their lane, going head on to them. They proceed to freak out, and his friend merged into the opposite lane to avoid this asshole. At the last moment, this car goes back into their prospective lane and again are head on to them. They play this little dance for a couple seconds, and are actually slightly hit when the finally meet this car. Last minute, his friend was able to whip around and get the fuck out of there. They don't think they were followed after that, but were spooked because they were in a virtually lawless area where there's no authority for hours in either direction. Who knows what that person or people had intended.
