[Serious] With vacation season around the corner what is your best travel hacks?

I work for a large hotel chain that owns roughly 5,000 properties around the world. I make reservations for all of them. I get paid an hourly wage, however, it isn't very high. My money comes from my incentives, which I get from booking rooms. My incentive pay is based off of two things, conversion (how many calls I convert into a room booking) and ADR (average daily rate). My system counts every single call I get in, and reduces my conversion rate accordingly. When I book a room it goes up. So when I get calls to change a room type, or add a name to a reservation, or ask a question about the lotion offered in the room, or verify that we do in fact have a pool, or make sure the price they see on ourwebsite is in fact the price they will pay, but no thanks I'll book it online I just wanted to make sure, etc, etc, that means I get no incentive and my pay goes down. Now I except normal decreases like if the area they want is sold out to due a large event, there is only so far away they are going to be willing to drive, so those are hard to rescue. But when people call me for stupid stuff and then don't book it just makes me seeth. I no joke had one person call me just to tell me they had booked online and that I should see the reservation in their system. They didn't want to confirm it went through, or change anything, just wanted to let me know. Yeah I lost money for that. It can be an amazing system, sometimes I get paid very well because I'm a damn good seller, but some people are very difficult to sell and then my conversion goes down. I already know for a fact on holidays I am going to make no money what so ever, so I have to make up for it every other day of the year. Saturdays are also a horrible day to make any money. Saturdays I am pretty much only guaranteed my hourly, incentives, if I even make any on Saturdays are usually only a couple bucks for the day, and I work 10 1/2 hours per day.
