[Serious] Women of Reddit: what's the most ridiculous thing you've had to do to get a guy to leave you alone?

Protection from Harassment order, then a protection from abuse order. Turns out it's literally just a piece of paper that no one, including the police take that seriously. He continued to come to my place of work and harass me. I filed a motion to have it extended beyond the year that I agreed upon to keep it out of court the first time and he had the audacity to CALL me the evening before our court date. When I called the sheriff's department to file a complaint the deputy told me that because I didn't answer the phone I had no proof that it was him calling me, even though he was calling me from the same number he'd had for at least the last year. The deputy even asked why I still had his number stored in my phone, like it was unreasonable to want to know if he was calling me. Fortunately, the judge saw it in a different light the next morning. He was absolutely disgusted that I wasn't granted a full two years on the original order and that it wasn't a protection from abuse order to begin with. He extended it and upgraded it. He appears to have finally gotten that i don't want him around me. Aside from trying to friend me on Facebook a couple years ago, he's finally left me alone. I moved to a nearby city, left the job I was working and haven't seen his face in 6 years.
