You haven't been paying attention if you said this statement. The reason rappers get love because they know the struggle, they been where their audience has been, anything they saying (besides rich this or that) is pretty much what your average urban hood black person can go through. When I hear lil wayne talk about how he dropped bodies or the bloods go hard. I can relate to that, I knew and saw real killers and knew a friend who was even a blood. that shit isn't new.

Rap was always about glorifying and talking about what niggas do, but cops, police officers, people who are paid by citizens tax money (our money) are going out on their job and shooting or killing black people first or using excessive force against people, instead of doing something else besides killing citizens aren't going to get no fucking slack.

There has been an inherent racial bias against cops and cops against black people for decades. But it has escalated into where people (namely the black community) is tired or the justice system being obviously (obvious to black folks) bias and racially discriminatory against blacks.

We can go back and forth on black on black violence or we can talk about white on white violence or how white people have been committing mass murders and shootings, but at the end of the day when public servants are out there being so obviously racially motivated do we not stand up together and say this isn't right? Or do we just sit back and let blacks be racially profiled against, get longer sentences vs non minorities, or keep getting met with excessive force or being killed by public servants?

Mistakes are only mistakes the first couple times, black people have been racially oppressed for the justice system country wide for decades it may not be apparent as being hosed in the street like the 60s but it is still there.
