Service Dog Freakout

They do. There are stable block headed dogs. Most people unfortunately do not understand that dog aggression is part of the literal breed standard for the American pit bull terrier. However the AMERICAN BULLY was bred down from companion (non fighting) APBT bloodlines in the 90’s and mixed with some other squishy doggos to be a companion animal. It is a separate breed and there is no dog aggression in that breed standard, meaning aggressive dogs are purposefully excluded from the gene pool. Irresponsible people still cross breed them with random pitbulls for looks indiscriminately, and popular culture conflates the two. A lot of people mistakenly think they’re getting an American Bully when they get a “pibble” or a poorly bred mix and make it their family dog. Pedigree matters. People think it is noble to rescue an inexpensive puppy, but it grows into a dog with generations of violence and trauma inside that it is ready to reenact if given the wrong stimulus, or not cared for properly. The stakes are higher when the dog has jaw muscles that size, and these dogs get put in stupid situations constantly. I have both well bred bullies and a rescue “pibble” in my house. The rescue pit bull was my first bully breed, and living with some of his personality issues over the years inspired me to learn all this and discover the American Bully.
