Wow. This rings so true! I’ve always been the creative/artistic type and my nmom insisted I became a doctor or lawyer. I almost started a law degree before I switched it to psychology which is something I truly enjoy because of her psychological torture I endured my whole life until I went NC and wanted to study and help others who’ve endured psychological trauma. I’ve dedicated my life to people who have suffered childhood abuse but I always wonder what would’ve happened if my passions were encouraged and supported. I enjoy my creativity as hobbies now.

I hope you are doing whatever you love now. They want to see you crumble and hate your strengths and passions because they are empty.
