Is it sexist to want a housewife, and why?

It's not sexist if you honestly want that for yourself. It would only be sexist if you tried to force that life on others.

If anyone gives you grief about that, remind them that the entire point of women's rights is to give women more options. To let women choose what they really want, whether it be staying at home or having a career or marrying or being single or anything else. More options, not fewer!

Saying it's sexist to want to stay home is like saying it's sexist to get married. Yes women were forced to get married to survive in the past, and yes it's good that things have changed so that that's not required. But that doesn't make getting married sexist. It's the exact same with being a housewife.
