Molesting a child and attempting to meet up with someone who is 15 years old and, presumably, sought out a sexual encounter under their own volition, is quite a big difference.

Call me a pedophile all you like, if someone is 15 years old and is actively pursuing sex with someone they're capable of consenting to sex. Unless there is an element of coercing the person or a relationship which allows for persuasion and influencing them to have sex from a position of power over that person then I don't think you can reasonably classify that as an abusive or predatory behaviour. Maybe this guy sought out conversations with 15 year old boys and lead them into discussions, convinced them to meet up rather than being asked himself from a 15 year old boy, that would make this a predatory action but we don't know what happened at all.

Age of consent where I live is 16, I think it is perfectly reasonable because at 16 a person is capable of giving informed consent and that is what matters, that they understand and that they consent. I think 15 year olds likely also possess that capacity as well so really this is not comparable to molestation of anyone, regardless of age. I know people who have been abused, it is horrific for many of them and causes terrible lasting effects that really harm them, they were abused.
