SF-86C for a Public Trust Position?

I appreciate your perspective. I have no problem with the department in question having the information they need to make a determination. That said, compared to the TS-SCI position I had previously applied for, this is a substantially lower risk position. I do have reservations about disclosing more information than necessary, not because of anything incriminating, but because SF-86s have been breached by foreign adversaries in the past. I don't think it's simply a matter of trusting our government or not, as you have characterized. I also don't see how doing the SF-85P would be a greater public burden than providing an additional ~3 years of information on the SF-86, which would require more thorough follow-up. Even though the SF-86C is being used for an MBI, I assume it would require the same interviews and other investigation that an NS position would require?
