Shadow of a B-24 Liberator during a low level raid in Southern Burma [621×800] [OS]

My dad served in WW2 during the CBI (China Burma India) theater. He flew in B25 and B24s in weather recon and was the top turrent gunner and engineer. His model b25 C, when the turret was up front, not in back. He chose the B25 over the B24 because he always told me the B24 was a bomber that would fly high up in the skies and often times required oxygen masks, whereas the B25 flew much closer, often times he said they were strafing the ground right around the tree line.

He hated wearing the oxygen mask so chose the b25. I remember the story he told of how they tested to see who was material for being one of the army air corpsman who would be high up in the b24's. He said they had a bunch of people testing to see how well you handled the increase in elevation without the oxygen masks. You had to repeatedly write "I am Superman" (I forget the exact phrase will have to ask family) over and over again. Some people puked or passed out, he said he lasted the longest and his handwriting was crooked and all over the place. MY dad was always a runner, ran lots of marathons so it always makes sense to me.

Also I'm 28 years old, my dad passed away but always had very interesting stories.
