[Shaikin] According to this city of Oakland document, the A's would like to lease the site of their proposed waterfront ballpark for 66 years, but they would like to commit to play in that ballpark for only 20 years.

yea because the a's would be completely paying for the park out of their own pockets. the projected cost to build the stadium is going to be over 5 billion if they stay in oakland.....which is more than 3 times as expensive than any other baseball stadium cost. there needs to be some type of way to help fund the stadium.

you are clueless about what the a's are trying to do for oakland, they are going to build affordable housing, businesses, fix up all the roads in the area. the a's owner is one of a shirt list of owners in baseball that has the money to do something like they are trying to do specially with the sky rocketed priced in the bay area
