Shame is bad for my health, the doctor shouldn't tell me that losing weight would be healthy

“Fat shaming” means making fun of fat peoples’ appearances or actively making them feel bad about themselves for superficial reasons (ie, not health.) I’ve never actually been told by a doctor to lose weight, but from what I’ve heard, it’s usually a kind, professional, health-focused suggestion rather than fat shaming. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Because if doctors are actually out there making their patients feel bad about their bikini bodies or being dicks to them about their weight (as opposed to “I would suggest that you lose 10-15 lbs to improve your knee condition”), it needs to stop…but I kind of doubt that happens. I could be wrong.
