Just got caught by my parents today! I had been on a major T-Break to get through the end of my track season and I came home tonight with sectionals just ending figuring I could vape a bit to celebrate. Anyways I reached for my little box with my vape and lighter and it wasn't there!

I was a little freaked out so I started looking around my room and stuff tryna find it all thinking maybe I moved it and forgot. Not 5 minutes later my dad calls me downstairs and we have a big intervention type thing, where I just laugh and tell my parents no, I have not been getting high all the time. I took a break for the track season and even when I do smoke I am very cautious about it.

I was very cordial with them and agreed yes, it is their house, I will dump all my stuff, and whatnot. My mom also got my vape though so that's frustrating, might be losing a good $90 just in that plus the $50 worth of weed they already made me toss.

Anyways my mom gets super pissed, saying I'm gonna blow it in college next year, saying I am not successful now (she's also crazy about grades) and all this nonsense. I get a little upset being that they just hold me to a ridiculously high standard, I cite the fact that I got a 35 on my ACT and a 2200 SAT and I'm in 4 AP Classes this year etc. etc. but it falls on mostly deaf ears.

Anyways things cooled down a bit, my dad isn't mad at me, he actually apologized for my mom searching my room hahaha when she had no reason to, I hadn't been doing anything wrong.

Frustrating to lose all the stuff but at the end of the day it is their house, I talked things over with my mom and might get my vape back, fingers crossed!

A little down tonight but hopefully they will come around, my mom is still ridiculously morally opposed to smoking but I think with time and more widespread legalization I might win her over.
