Share: who are you guys and why did you decide to follow the Dao?

I grew up largely Christian (Greek Orthodox) and went to a Christian primary school but around about 3 years ago I started losing my faith and thus began my struggle with 'Pascal's Wager'. That broke down when I fully lost belief and the fear of hell was no longer there and I consequently spent the rest of the year an agnostic.

My agnosticism didn't last as I started to feel like it was somewhat inane. It just felt silly and then I began an atheist, although not a gnostic one.

I stumbled across this belief system called Taoism. I've heard about Taoism before but me being a European I wasn't fully aware of what it entailed. So I started to study it, acquired a copy of the DDJ and Zhuangzi and decided this is it. O guess it was so compelling to me because of Taoism's innate optimism and positive. I never found a philosophy/religion which matched me so well. The thoughtfulness, meditation and methods made my life overall much better and I can't thank Taoism enough. I became a Taoist and a follower like that.

Full disclosure I'm still an atheist as I'm not a theist but I rank my belief in Taoism higher than my atheism and thus I identify as a Taoist first.
