Share Your Cloud non-profit at festivals this summer (x-post from r/festivals)

We have given to a variety of causes through the fall and winter. For Papadosio's Earth Night celebration, we collected $650, I think, for victims of the Union Street fire in Athens, OH. For Papadosio's NYE in Baltimore, we collected $390,four guitars, a banjo, and a keyboard for a DC non-profit called Hungry For Music, which empowers urban children through music programs. In Asheville for dosio's Great Thaw, we collected $242 for Girls Rock Camp Asheville, a non-profit music camp for girls and transgenders.

This month in Oxford MS we're raising money and shoes for a non-profit called Purshoeing Joy which takes shoes to Guatemala, and in Lafayette IN we're collecting money and art supplies for Art With A Heart, an IN non-profit that implements art programs at public schools. At Mad Tea Party Jam we will be benefitting the WV Environmental Council and also Jamming for Appalachian Multi Media Artists, a scholarship fund started by Appalachian Jamwich.

We try to contribute to local organizations whenever possible, "doing good where we go" kind of thing.

As for whether it will "take off", I'm certainly going to put every ounce of my heart into it to see that it does. So far we've got some pretty overwhelming support from our community, lots of contributing artists and genuine volunteers, and the full support and respect of Papadosio (who has invited us to do their entire spring tour). My hope is that as more musical acts see us around, they will work with us as well, and that we can really begin to make charity outreach a regularity at music events.

What nonprofit in Michigan are you ED of? What do you do?

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. :)
